Arran Coastal Way – a new guide

Rucksack Readers is a specialist publisher that has produced over 35 weather proof guidebooks for walkers, trekkers and cyclists since 2000. New for 2018, they have published a guide to The Arran Coastal Way which, in 2017, was recognised as one of Scotland’s Great Trails. Written by Jacquetta Megarry, it contains all you need to plan and enjoy this wonderful walk.

It is printed on rain-proof paper in a 6 inch by 9 inch spiral bound format which is ideal for a rucksack pocket. There are eight maps (two are each spread over two pages) at a scale of 1:55,000 combined with detailed route descriptions for every stage and over 100 stunning photographs. In addition, there is a wealth of background on the history and geology of the island and local attractions as well as travel and public transport information.

Malcolm Whitmore, chairman of the Arran Access Trust wrote:

Meticulously researched and superbly produced, this guide makes the ideal companion for all those walking this stunning route.

The guide will be available from many local outlets or directly from Rucksack Readers website.
