Tackling Climate Change by Living Well for Less
Are you beginning your journey to make your home more energy efficient? Do you want to have a warmer home for less? Or do you have your EPC but don’t know where to begin or stuck making progress?
Arran Eco Savvy’s new project aims to provide practical help and information to the Arran Community to improve energy efficiency and insulation in our buildings and to generate energy from natural sources such as solar, heat pumps and moving water. It will enable more Arran householders and businesses to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to climate change, and, over time, reduce energy bills and keep more people warmer for less.
Tackling Climate Change by Living Well for Less builds on the Green Islands project by helping Arran community members and organisations to implement recommendations from their energy performance assessments, audits and /or net zero action plans through: –
- Meet the Installer events
- Greenhouse gas emissions calculations and support
- Action Learning Groups
- increasing on-island Accredited Installer Expertise and
- developing a practical energy resource directory, relevant to Arran.
- Updating the Green Islands net zero plan for Arran.
Meet Accredited Installers and share ideas and experiences
Our FREE events enable direct communication between householders and organisations with accredited providers through community workshops and help householders and businesses take the next cost and planet saving steps towards renewable energy.
The workshops target specific areas identified through the Green Islands Project and are great places to swap knowledge, learn and hear about others experiences.

Join us at our next Meet the Installer Energy Event, 12th February 2025, Corrie and Sannox Village Hall, 11am – 3pm.
Don’t forget your EPC or Carbon Audit if you have one.
For those who have received EPC Assessments and / or have Carbon Net Zero Plans through the Green Islands Project we want to help you take the next cost and planet saving steps to implement your Energy Performance Certificate assessment or audit recommendations.
The events will provide you with opportunities to meet accredited installers of insulation and renewable energy and sources of potential funding and to share ideas and experiences to help each other make progress.
We will help you act on recommendations from your Energy Performance Certificate assessments and energy audits in order to help you to save spending money on unnecessary energy use and drive renewable energy adoption.
The Meet the Installer workshops are a great way to expand your knowledge and explore what options are available to you.
