Vodafone announces network improvements on the Isle of Arran

Vodafone UK customers on parts of the Isle of Arran can now enjoy 4G mobile data speeds as well as a more reliable 3G voice signal thanks to recent network improvements.

With 4G in place, residents in and around Brodick on the east coast of the island will be able to download music and catch up on the latest TV shows or movies faster than ever before. 4G will also support local business communities, helping them to make more effective use of mobile devices and digital services. Tourists benefit too – faster data speeds mean less time spent waiting for web pages containing maps and other key visitor information to load.

Kye Prigg, Head of Mobile Networks for Vodafone UK, said: “Mobile connectivity plays a vital role in supporting rural economies and keeping local communities in touch. Which is why we’ve invested more than £2 billion on our UK network and services since 2014 and expect to spend a similar amount over the next few years. We will continue to work hard to improve coverage across the island, so more customers can enjoy our network wherever they go.”
