Here is a message about the forth coming Arran Folk Festival, from organisers, Arran Events:
Welcome to this year’s programme!
Our Festival this year runs from 8th to 10th June. There will, of course, be free afternoon sessions in the wonderful Douglas Hotel, hosted by Uncle Keith. As always, feel free to bring an instrument or a song and show us what you’ve got!
The evening concerts in Brodick Hall on Friday and Saturday night will again be licensed by our good friends at the Isle of Arran Distillery. Tickets for these concerts are available to buy online from our website www.arranevents.com, or in person from Brodick Post Office.
Once again we have attempted to present you with a blend of well-loved and established acts mixed with a fine selection of up-and-coming talent from the wonderful world of folk music. We hope you enjoy our selection and look forward to hearing from you over the course of the weekend.
Our wee Festival would not succeed without its audience, so to all our visitors this year – old and new – thank you for coming (back) and we hope you have a great time on our beautiful island.
So here’s to a weekend of live music, good craic, and friendships old and new…Slainte!!
