The Arran Local Island Plan

The draft Arran Local Island Plan and sample 2022/23 Annual Action Plan is now available to view at https://www.north-ayrshire.gov.uk/business/islands-recovery-renewal.aspx

Sarah Baird, Senior Officer (islands) would welcome final comments on the draft documents and would appreciate receiving examples of case studies or projects you are involved in, further island actions relating to economic, community and environmental wellbeing your group or organisation is undertaking and any further contributions you can provide to support the successful delivery of the Local Island Plans.

From 29 November 2021 and 4 January 2022.

Please email islands@north-ayrshire.gov.uk to share your input.

Each draft Local Island Plan is a ten-year plan with a long-term strategic focus developed with and for the island communities, and whilst the aims and objectives of the Plan may remain for the duration of the plan, the associated annual action plan will be reviewed annually and updated as required.

We hope that you recognise and share the vision, priorities and ambitions for the islands that have been prepared with island stakeholders and look forward to receiving any input and contributions by 5pm on Tuesday 4th January 2022.

Following this period, we aim to finalise and publish the Plans in March 2022 – please keep an eye on the webpage for further updates.
