December at Brodick Castle and Country Park

Following a very successful Art Exhibition December is the month for Christmas activities.

We have a Carol Concert on Friday 18th December tickets are £12 bookable through the Castle on 302202.

On the 19th and 20th December we have our first outdoor Christmas Market. There will be a variety of stalls from local traders, Santa will meet the children in the Castle’s front hall, there will be a variety of food from a Hog Roast provided by the Sandwich Station, hot donuts and Arran Distillery and the Douglas Hotel will be providing a festive tipple.

There will also be a tombola for both adults and children and a train display for children of all ages.

The Visitor Centre is open from Wednesday to Sunday for hot drinks, soup and hot food. The bacon rolls are fast becoming a speciality. The shop has quite a selection of Christmas gifts are there are some bargains to be had as possible Christmas presents. The craft shop has a variety of goods from cards and jewellery to wooden toadstools and a selection of knitwear [see the pictures to the right and below – ed].

The Castle closes from 24th December to 5th January when the visitor centre will re-open.
