Lochranza Centre CIC Everest Challenge – Fundraising for NHS Charities Together
On Friday 8th of May, the staff at the Lochranza Centre are going to set out on a challenge to climb the height of Mount Everest – 8,848m by climbing Tor Nead (the ‘Big Hill’ of Lochranza at our back door) repeatedly. The combined height is equal to 10 times that of Goat Fell, our highest mountain on Arran! We will be working together as a relay, and walking from the centre’s front door up to the top of the hill each day. We will be setting up a Boguille base camp (at the centre) so please come along and give us a cheer on the Friday/Saturday/Sunday and espcially the Monday (8th – 11th May) if you live in the immediate area, it’ll be much needed!
Whilst working together, and keeping to the current Covid guidelines, we are coming together in a massive way and pushing ourselves to show our support and appreciation for all of the key workers, the volunteers, the emergency services and members of our community who are doing their part for communities around the country.
Please show your support by speaking to those you can and thanking them for the incredible work they are doing, and if you can, please donate to the NHS trusts via JustGiving.
Thank you,
The Lochranza Centre CIC
