Arran Natural History Society talk

Tuesday 2nd December at 7:30pm, online

‘Can Fish Farming Save our Seas’ by local vet Matt Palmer.

This talk will dive into the world of aquaculture – what it means and how it works – and whether this industry is the solution to, or the cause of our collapsing fish stocks. Keeping the focus close to our shores, the talk will explore farmed Atlantic salmon, looking into the welfare, environmental and sustainability impacts of the industry, and how we can support our waters through the food we eat.  If non members would like to join us for this talk you can do so through the eventbrite link below for a donation of £5.

Ross’s debut album The Roke was nominated for Trad Album of the Year at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards. He’s also a BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year finalist and a Danny Kyle Award winner at Celtic Connections.
